NORTH MARMARA HIGHWAY PROJECT

The 260-kilometer-long new road, which will be built between Odayeri and Kınalı and between Kurtköy and Akyazı on the Anatolian side, will connect to the Osmangazi and Yavuz Sultan Selim bridges. The Northern Marmara Motorway Project is a high standard, safe, high quality and uninterrupted transportation investment with an important economic, cultural, touristic and social dimension that will relieve the transportation of the Marmara region, which hosts the largest metropolises and industrial zones of our country, and will be integrated with Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and its connection roads.
Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which will also be the bridge of firsts, will be the world’s widest suspension bridge with a width of 59 meters and the world’s longest suspension bridge with a main span of 1408 meters. Another first of the bridge is that it will be the suspension bridge with the highest tower in the world with a height of more than 322 meters.
